A downloadable project

This is an OpenGL project created as part of an assignment while studying at the University of South Wales. It is built on top of an OpenGL framework customised slightly for the course provided by the lecturer in charge of the assignment. It retains the standard OpenGL license.

I created the models, but sourced the images from this website: 
https://www.solarsystemscope.com/textures/

For this project, I created the scene by loading in the objects, applying textures to them, and then rendered them using a shader. The earth and moon both have different specular maps applied to them along with the normal textures. There are four lights in the scene corresponding to red, green, blue, and white. These work by passing their ambient, diffuse, position, and attenuation properties to the specular shader which is then used to render the objects in the scene.

Move around the scene with WASD, press left click to rotate the camera, and arrow keys + R/F to move the spaceship model.
